Strange Skin Care Products: Snail Slime
You may have heard of this ingredient before. Snail slime is an incredibly popular product for those who prefer using Asian skin care products, and for good reason. Their slim can help with a variety of skin ailments. The two it can help the most with are anti aging and hydration. Snail slime is made mostly of water, but it also contains hyaluronic acid and a few other beneficial skin ingredients commonly found in most skin care products. But, you can get them all at once with snail slime. And, it’s not as gross as you may think. Many products that contain this ingredient don’t have an offensive scent, and aren’t very slimy. One snail care product you could try is COSRX’s Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence.
Strange Skin Care Products: Salmon Eggs
This is a bit of a rarer ingredient than snail slime, and isn’t as commonly used. Salmon eggs. One of the products that contains this is Besolbo Royal Salmon Egg Return Cream. It’s not your typical mask. Instead of having something already in liquid form, it comes in egg form. You break the eggs and put them on your face. And, they can do amazing things for you. The brand claims to have lots of vitamins and minerals in their mask. And, that can help diminish signs of aging, and get rid of things like acne scars.
Strange Skin Care Products: Fermented Pigeons
We’ve saved the weirdest for last. Fermented pigeons. The actual name for this is Eau Cosmetique de Pigeon. Marie Antoinette, a woman known for her beauty alongside her numerous accomplishments. Eau Cosmetique de Pigeon which is made up of fruit juice, floral essences, the crumbs of three French rolls, borax, and eight pigeons that had been stewed and fermented for 17 days. Now, doesn’t that just sound lovely? We wouldn’t recommend trying this one yourself. Marie Antoinette also used some toners and face whitening products. Even though we don’t use pigeons anymore, strange skin care products are still alive and well in the 21st century.
